Kate Sylvester, fashion designer
Kate Sylvester was a student at Wellington Polytechnic between 1985-86. Kate is one of New Zealand’s most commercially successful and respected fashion designers.
Her collections are highly anticipated at both New Zealand and Australian Fashion weeks. Her shows are received with much acclaim and constantly feature as highlights with local and international media, who love Kate’s conceptual strength as a fashion designer.
The label boasts three main lines—Kate Sylvester womenswear, her naughty little sister Sylvester, and her menswear collection—as well as eyewear and footwear. The brand also now has an established sustainability policy including a commitment to onshore production and an ever expanding stable of ethical and organic fabric options.
