Supports students showing academic excellence, leadership and community engagement.

Value: Up to ten awards valued at a total of $21,000

Massey University Undergraduate Scholarships

Supports new students who are undertaking university study for the first time. These scholarships are designed to acknowledge excellence and enable equitable access to study.

Value: Up to 60 awards valued at $5,000 each for full-time students or $2,500 for part-time students

Supports new student athletes enrolling at Massey University with a previous record of high achievement in sport and who show future potential in their chosen sport.

Collin Post Memorial Scholarship in Sculpture

Supports promising students from Massey University’s Whiti o Rehua School of Art, College of Creative Arts, who have a strong interest in sculpture as a medium.

Open to third and fourth year Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Māori Visual Arts students, and Master of Fine Arts or Master of Māori Visual Arts students.

Postgraduate scholarships and awards

Massey University Masterate Scholarships

These scholarships are offered for the purpose of encouraging postgraduate research at Massey University. Applicants must be enrolled or eligible for a full-time 120-credit research programme towards a Masters degree.

There are also scholarships for Māori students.

Massey University Doctoral Scholarships and Vice-Chancellor's Doctoral Scholarships

Massey University Doctoral Scholarships are available to both domestic and international candidates, and both full-time and part-time candidates are considered.

The Massey University Vice-Chancellor's Doctoral Scholarships are awarded to the highest-ranked applicants. Both full-time and part-time domestic candidates are considered.

Value: $25,000-30,000 per annum, plus tuition and fees, for full-time candidates

Peter Turner Scholarship in Documentary Photography

The Peter Turner Scholarship in Documentary Photography, worth $5,000, is awarded annually to an exceptional candidate wishing to advance their photographic work through a period of postgraduate study.

New Zealand and Australian citizens enrolling for full-time study leading to the degree of Master of Fine Arts in photography are eligible to apply.
