Creative Reviews

A Creative Review is a relaxed, optional session where you can connect one-on-one with a member of our academic team.

Sketches and watercolour drawings

Thinking about studying Fine Arts, Design, or Screen Arts?

Creative Reviews are a chance to chat about your creative interests, share any work you're proud of, and explore your ideas for future study.

With 20 majors across Toi Rauwhārangi, there’s a wide range of courses and pathways available—so having some guidance can make all the difference. In your Creative Review, our team will help you shape a personalised study plan, with a focus on your first-year papers and the exciting options they lead to.

What to bring

We’d love to see your passion projects—this could be schoolwork, personal projects, social media content, or your online portfolio. There’s no minimum or maximum requirement, especially if you’re meeting us in person. Just bring work that reflects you.

We love seeing

  • Craft projects
  • Drawings & paintings
  • Models & sculptures
  • Furniture & product designs
  • Photography
  • Digital artwork
  • Websites & short videos

Meetings are up to 30 minutes, so choose a few key pieces that best reflect your creative voice. That way, we’ll have time for meaningful discussion and course planning.

Meeting online

If you’re joining us via Zoom, we recommend using a computer or laptop (not your phone), and having your work ready to share—either as an online portfolio or photos in a folder. This helps us get a clear picture of your practice.

Book a Creative Review!

Creative Review bookings will become available later in June. Check back soon!
