Student life

Toi Rauwhārangi College of Creative Arts is located in the heart of Wellington—New Zealand’s coolest little capital city.

Wellington has twice been ranked first in the world for liveability by Deutsche Bank. It's known worldwide as a centre of creative practice and innovation, and as a place that offers incredible career opportunities.

Whether you’re into culture or craft beer, Wellington has a lot to offer with its art galleries, shops, café culture, microbreweries, and nature. It'll suit you if you're coming from around New Zealand, or the other side of the world.

Where to live

Toi Rauwhārangi College of Creative Art is right in the middle of Wellington, with a variety of accommodation options ranging from university hostels to shared flats.

Massey manages residential facilities close to campus—contact the Accommodation Office for more details.

Or, to find a place to live and some flatmates to help share the costs, check out TradeMe, NZ Flatmates, Student Flat and Roomies.

Get involved

Join a student club—or start your own. Like Banter and Brews, a club run by Visual Communication Design students that hosts panel discussions with design professionals each semester (along with plenty of banter, free drinks and food too!)

Or check out Something Something, a student-led creative industry organisation that profiles artists, hosts online content and puts on live shows.
