Graduate Diploma in Design*
This is a highly selective programme. Applicants should include a 12-24 page portfolio of work with their application. Portfolio guideline and requirements can be found here. Applicants are encouraged to concentrate on presenting work in the field they wish to study (Textile, Fashion, Visual Communication, Photography, Spatial, and Industrial Design) and show process of Design, including initial concepts and ideas of designs, through development and, finally, the completed projects.
Applicants should indicate what area of Design they wish to undertake study in.
*previous study in Design is not required; however, a strong portfolio demonstrating Design expertise is required.
Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts

Postgraduate Diploma in Māori Visual Arts
Applicants should also upload a 12-24 page portfolio of work with their application. Portfolio guideline and requirements can be found here [/study/how-to-apply/portfolio-requirements/]. Applicants are encouraged to submit International indigenous artwork for their portfolio.
Master of Design
Applicants should submit a portfolio of work concentrating on presenting work in the field they wish to complete research (Textile, Fashion, Visual Communication, Photography, Spatial, and Industrial Design) and show process of Design, including initial concepts and ideas of designs, through development and, finally, the completed projects. Applicants are expected to demonstrate advanced design skills, independent research capability, and a strong body of previous design work.

Master of Fine Arts
Applicants should submit a 12-24 page portfolio of work concentrating on presenting work in the field they wish to complete their study (in either Fine Arts or Design) and show process work, including initial concepts and ideas of work, through development and, finally, the completed work.
Applicants should also submit a one-page description of their interest in Art or Design, including previous background in the field.
