Getting started
Welcome to your first week at CoCA. Here are some tips to help you make a good start.
Your Massey password
In the email that confirmed your offer of place you will find your student ID number. Go online to MyMassey, and follow the instructions to set up your password, or re-set this if needed. If you have any trouble please pop into Student Central and they will help you.
Stream & your timetable
Stream is Massey’s online teaching and learning environment.
What’s on Stream
Each course has its own Stream site. Your lecturers will post the assessment brief, weekly study plans, links to helpful resources, and important notices about the course there. These sites help you get the most out of your learning.
Important information that applies to you in all courses is hosted on the following sites:
• First Year BDes, BFA
• Creative Media Production Forum
• Commercial Music Forum
These sites tell you about our systems and processes, such as how the timetable works and what to do if you are sick.
How to get on to Stream
Login at: stream.massey.ac.nz using your student ID and password. The system will prompt you to set up a password that you will then use whenever you visit Stream. Set this up now; many of your Stream sites are already open and you’ll find new information going up steadily.
Your Timetable
Unlike school, you have a lot of free time at uni; you organise your own time. If you are a full-time student, we expect you to do about 40 hours per week of study, including classes.
All CoCA students find their timetable information on Stream. Please do not use the information on the MyMassey timetable. The Stream sites are:
