Dr Radek Rudnicki (b 1982, Poland) Award winning composer, sound artist and performer focused on using improvised material in multidisciplinary projects. As a lead sound designer and composer for Precyzja Foundation (Poland) and director of Wave Folder Records (UK) he creates, funds and is curating new media art projects. Worked as a sound designer and music composer with NASA GISS, Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and is involved in product development of various synthesizer manufacturers. In 2008 Radoslaw has been shortlisted by SPNM (UK) as one of the most interesting emerging composers living in the UK. He made pieces for theatre, film, contemporary dance and game sound design. Radek holds PhD in Digital Composition from the University of York. His work is focused on interactive multimedia, visual arts and multidisciplinary projects combining art and science. As a founder of Space F!ght, co-founder of RPE Duo and Kirki Project he performed and exposed his work on festivals and art galleries worldwide.

Space F!ght, Sci-Fi (2013). Audio-visual performance that links acoustic improvisation, improvised electronic groove and modular synthesis with visualisations. Piece explores interaction between live sound and 3D mapping themed with sci-fi novels. Recently explored data sonification and visualisation (project made in collaboration with NASA GISS and SEI). Project was showcased on international festivals and toured in the UK, Europe and New Zealand. (Duration 40min)
Rudnicki/Hader, O3 (2014). Piece where 3D mapping and data sonification are used as composition tool. Piece made to raise awareness of ozone’s impact on human health and vegetation. Piece run throughout the festival. Circle of Light, Moscow, Russia, 10-14th October 2014. (Duration 3min)
Sonicules (2016) An interactive audiovisual sonification system and live performance incorporating spatial sound to demonstrate potential to improve the efficiency of anticancer drug design. Funded by Wellcome Trust in 2015/2016. Showcased on festivals, conferences and science centres in Poland and the UK. (Duration 30min)
RPE Duo, USA tour (2013)
Performance for trumpet and electronics including ozone data sonification (collaboration with NASA GISS and SEI). Six performances at venues and universities in the East Coast USA starting at Festival of New Trumpet Music, 2013, NYC. (Duration 40min).
