The reputation of the College of Creative Arts as one of the best art and design schools in Australasia is due in no small part to the high quality experience offered to students by its faculty and staff, visiting lecturers and industry partners.
College faculty are practising artists and designers, actively engaged in creative research and consultancy work, so students can take advantage of the latest research and strong industry networks. The new School of Music and Creative Media Production will further expand the College's staffing expertise and engagement with industry mentors.
The 2013 New Zealand government Performance-Based Research Fund evaluation found the College had the largest number of internationally ranked researchers in design and visual arts. Faculty research collaborations span the globe.
The College continues to foster an environment that is attractive to esteemed professional artists, designers, digital media makers, musicians and researchers of distinction.
